Leasehold Enfranchisement Solicitor (0-2 years PQE)
Law Firms don’t solve problems, people do. We are looking for exceptional people to join us.
At TW we believe there’s more to the law than technical excellence. TW is growing in size and reputation and we are keen to onboard enthusiastic and exceptional people who are thoughtful, determined and intuitive and who bring individual personality and a positive outlook. Our growing reputation means that people are seeking us out, knocking on the door because they want to move from other Law Firms to join us or coming back to us after they have left because they love working with us. That says a lot!
Individual players, one team.
We are brave and ambitious, vibrant and diverse. Our culture is supportive, with a sense of togetherness at all levels, working hard but always finding time to have fun. We constantly strive to do better and actively consult people for their ideas and give people the opportunity to grow. We have committed to hybrid working for all roles that can be done remotely and are open to flexible hours and office base. In addition, we have a “You Day” initiative in place that means that people can compress their contractual hours into 9 days and take the 10th day for themselves. Other benefits include bonuses, generous annual leave, Private Medical Insurance with Bupa, life assurance and a health cash plan which includes an Employee Assistance programme and perks and discounts from major retailers.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking to recruit a lawyer with residential property experience (enfranchisement and lease extension experience preferred) who is looking to develop a caseload and grow their experience and profile. An interest in the field of law, and a willingness to learn and practise in this technical and niche area is essential.
The candidate will work alongside the solicitors in the team and build their initial caseload by taking on projects to extend leases in freehold-owned blocks alongside non-statutory lease extensions and freehold management work (replies to enquiries, deeds of covenant and licences). The ideal candidate will have some experience dealing with the other associated work the team handles (licences, lease advice, RTM).
We expect the successful candidate to be keen to learn and expand their skills, and to take a pro-active approach in obtaining the necessary experience to run a caseload in this field. We expect to see client care at the centre and for our lawyers to have a proactive and enthusiastic approach to winning work and building a network of recruiters.
Our standards are high, and that has helped us to create a sustainable and profitable firm. So, if you have a “can do attitude”, like to go the extra mile for your colleagues and your clients, can evidence that you are committed, loyal and excellent at what you do, please send a CV and covering letter to recruitment@thackraywilliams.com explaining how you stand out from the crowd and what it is about TW that makes you want to work here. We look forward to hearing from you.
